Missouri Lions 2009 State Convention

Come join your fellow Missouri Lions in historic Joplin, Missouri for the 2009 Missouri Lions State Convention.

We are excited to have Past International Director M. P. "Mike" Butler, of Kerrville, Texas, as our keynote speaker. He will be visiting with and addressing the Missouri Lions at this year's convention.

It is indeed an honor to have such a long-time, and distinguished, guest to speak at our banquet on Saturday night.

A member of the Kerrville Host Lions Club and a Lion since 1974, Past Director Butler has held numerous offices in the association, including district governor and multiple district treasurer. He has been appointed as chairperson of the Global Membership Team for 2008-09.

Past Director Butler has received the Master Key, the Extension Award, the District Governor's Extension Award, several International President's Awards and the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honor granted by Lions Clubs International to its members. He is also a Melvin Jones Fellow.

We are very pleased to have PID Butler join us at our most important event for the year.

Whether you are new to lionism, or if you are a long time member, this convention will provide you with an opportunity to learn more about Lions' programs taking place right here in Missouri. You will learn about the latest news concerning these programs, and how your local club can help.

There will also be several training workshops available, so that you can build and expand on your existing skills as a Lion.

Just to mention a few, you can look forward to the following workshops: Global Membership Program, New Amblyopia Screening Technology, Lions and Taxes, and On the Road with Leader Dog.
